I am currently on a RTW motorbike trip and trying my hardest to do video blogs as I go. I guess you could call me a videographer in a way. I don't have very fancy gear - can't afford it. I record with a gopro and a panasonic handycam thing. Anyway, the real trick is capturing the right footage at the right time to tell a story. Also capturing the moment, the random, impromptu interactions with people, without an independent cameraman is extremely hard.Jacksonhttp://www.thegreatgallivant.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4157324832540178724.post-91641543560032021912012-01-05T13:48:08.358-05:002012-01-05T13:48:08.358-05:00Rene is the man!!Rene is the man!!Danielhttp://www.worldwideride.canoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4157324832540178724.post-46538706619475697412011-11-18T05:39:52.505-05:002011-11-18T05:39:52.505-05:00I have just finished reading The University of Gra...I have just finished reading The University of Gravel Roads and absolutely loved it. The most inspiring and reflective motorcycling stories I have read... and I have read plenty of them.

I am amazed at the honesty and depth of thought that is displayed, especially in the last chapter. Which is something not demonstrated in many, yet set them apart.

Thanks for the ride.

Turtle
Brisbane, AustraliaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4157324832540178724.post-37909511444077805682011-09-01T09:48:18.136-04:002011-09-01T09:48:18.136-04:00Yeah, that pan shot definitely looks jumpy in the ...Yeah, that pan shot definitely looks jumpy in the online version. I was amazed at the number of angles you shot to get a few seconds of video. The effort paid off, it looks good!Rotten Ronniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17648027249082991290noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4157324832540178724.post-76949197401503331672011-08-28T09:31:36.051-04:002011-08-28T09:31:36.051-04:00I watched Rene's presentation when he was in V...I watched Rene's presentation when he was in Vancouver.
